Author of the blog, Ville Komulainen has been developing software professionally for the last 7 years. Those years include small companies in product business, 2000-era crazy start-ups as well as period of research in academia while writing Master’s Thesis about semantic web and ontologies. Currently he is a software engineer in a multinational consulting company. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of Helsinki, Finland.

I established this blog in order to have a single place for links, ideas and thoughts related to all aspects of software development. There is no specialization in subject areas, everything between coding and business aspects is considered.

Most importantly this blog is a place where I try to maintain some sort of a repository/notebook of technologies and methodologies to study and learn more in this constantly evolving field. And in addition, also to maintain written English skills, which have gotten a bit rusty after the latest major stint in writing English, my master’s thesis.
